The power of groups

The Marketing Seminar (TMS), starts again next week. Created by Seth Godin, powered by all the individuals who take part in it. It’s for anyone who wants to make change happen, grow share, have an impact. It’s for business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, freelancers, those employed by big business, those who work for themselves.

It has challenged the way I think about how I market myself and what I do, and get better at it, in an authentic way, one which feels good. The power of TMS lies in the group, the generosity of others sharing their ideas and challenging yours. A virtual team which feels remarkably close.

There is a power which means individuals come back to TMS year after year. These are individuals who have a growth mindset, they know there will always be more to learn, more ways to try, and fail, and generously support others who are doing the same.

More details on TMS can be found here, and of course reach out if you want to understand more, or let me know if you’ve taken part and how it has helped your business. Seth Godin and his team also offer courses in podcasting, storytelling, freelancing and the Alternative MBA.

Education is changing, how we work is changing. Groups like this recognise that, and help us navigate the challenges and opportunities of change. For those brave enough to look deeply at what they do, or as Seth would say ‘go make a ruckus’.
