One more myth about your Boss
One more myth about Leadership.
The CEO should know how to lead.
We place a huge amount of responsibility on the person who is in the leadership role, our Director/Manager/CEO.
They are human too, they get it wrong, they don’t always see all perspectives, sometimes they simply don’t have time and yes might not even care.
We have to learn to manage up, we have to take responsibility for leading as well.
If you are too often complaining or talking about what they are doing wrong with other people. Then ask yourself ‘what could I do?’, or ‘what can I do differently’. Dare to change your narrative and behaviour.
Many end up putting up an invisible wall between them and their boss, instead of looking at ways to approach the wall differently.
The unwelcome behaviours we see in the work place, we’re often part of ourselves. Leadership only works when we all stand tall in our shoes and do our part.
